Eddie Izzard - if you haven't seen this legendary stand-up comedian, please go do so. His wit, self irony and makeup will blow you away:)

Douglas Adams - the author of laugh-out-loud sci-fi classic "The Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy" has written some other pearls too: His Dirk Gently detective novels are (if possible) even more randomly twisted, and the bitter/sweet/funny documentary "Last Chance To See" is a fantastic account of weird spieces threatend by extinction.

Regina Spektor is my favourite new artist. Even if "Fidelity" didn't catch you, good chances are some of her other tunes will - I love "Samson", "Better" and "On the Radio", and some of her other songs, lacking the immediate appeal of these 3, really grows on you when you listen to the album a bit.
